Screw vacuum pumps
The Elmo Rietschle S-Series screw vacuum pumps operate dry and contact-free, meaning no lubrication is needed in the pumping chamber. This offers significant benefits, including no contamination of the process and no pollution from pump operation.
Wide Performance Range
The S-VSI screw vacuum pumps achieve an ultimate vacuum of 0.08 mbar (abs.) and can operate efficiently at any pressure between atmospheric pressure and the end vacuum.
Rugged and Durable Design
The pump features two parallel screw rotors, synchronized by timing gears, that rotate in opposite directions to compress gas toward the discharge port. The gearbox and mechanical seals are oil-lubricated, while cooling is maintained by a continuous flow of coolant through the housing. The pumps are designed for high vapor and liquid tolerance, easy servicing, and long operational life. Their low rotational speed ensures quiet, low-vibration operation.
Versatile Applications
Elmo Rietschle screw vacuum pumps are ideal for industries requiring a clean, oil-free vacuum. They can also be combined with vacuum boosters for customized systems with high suction capacities. The S-VSI range is best suited for general industrial applications like packaging, drying, coating, and vacuum furnaces. These pumps are durable, low-maintenance, and offer low life cycle costs, making them ideal for food packaging and processing, particularly in oxygen-sensitive applications.

S-VSI
The S-VSI screw vacuum pumps offer capacities ranging from 100 to 600 m³/h and achieve an end vacuum of 0.08 mbar (absolute). They feature a progressive screw pitch design and maximum sealing efficiency due to labyrinth, shaft, and piston ring seals, with the option for sealing gas. Benefits include low noise levels, reduced operating temperatures, and straightforward serviceability. These pumps are specifically designed for industrial applications that do not involve aggressive gases.
