Technical Gases and High Pressure

Expertly engineered in Germany, the Sauer line of piston compressors is crafted by specialists at J.P. Sauer & Sohn Maschinenbau GmbH in Kiel. These high-performance, oil-lubricated compressors are designed to handle pressures up to 500 barg and are built for continuous operation. They feature reciprocating designs that can compress in up to five stages, with configurations including up to six cylinders arranged in star, V, or W formations. Ideal for both atmospheric suction pressure operations and as gas-tight boosters with pre-pressures up to 25 barg, these compressors offer versatile and reliable performance.

Typhoon

Pressure: 10 –100 barg
Volume Flow: 60 – 395 m³/h
Rated Power: 15 – 90 kW
Media: Air, Nitrogen

The SAUER Typhoon series 2-stage water-cooled compressors provide a reliable alternative for applications where air-cooled compressors are not suitable. Built on decades of experience and continuous refinement, these robust machines deliver maximum reliability and efficiency.

Key features include:

  • Integrated, replaceable coolers in each cylinder
  • Crankshaft supported by bearings on both sides
  • True water cooling for the cylinders
  • Sturdy, rigid flange connection between the motor and compressor

Each compressor undergoes a complete final pressure check and comes with a 3.1 inspection certificate. SAUER guarantees a long service life, with spare parts available for at least 25 years from stock.
